Accident News on May 22, 2019
Comanche County, OK (May 22, 2019) – On May 22, just after 11 a.m., Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Highway 62 near Cherry Road.
According to authorities, a vehicle collision occurred along the roadway for unknown reasons. Vehicles involved in the collision sustained heavy damage. Edgewater Park, Elgin, and Porter Hill firefighters responded to the scene and had to remove the roof off one vehicle at the scene to extricate the person inside.
One person was transported via helicopter to a hospital in Oklahoma City. A second victim succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The cause of the incident remains under investigation at this time.
