Accident News on May 14, 2019
Enid, OK (May 14, 2019) – On Friday, May 10th, Enid Police Department responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Van Buren Street and Moore Avenue.
According to police, a semi-truck, driven by 58-year-old Freddie Platt, was traveling north along Van Buren when he ran the red light at the intersection and collided with a van.
The three occupants of the van, 30-year-old Latoya Peyton, was transported to Integris Bass Baptist Health Center for injuries.
Two children inside the van were flown to OU Children’s Hospital for their injuries.
We pray Ms. Peyton and the injured children make a full recovery from their injuries.
Every year, thousands of people are injured in motor vehicle accidents across Oklahoma. Unfortunately, accidents involving semi-trucks place victims at a far greater chance for sustaining serious and life-threatening injuries.
When victims are injured in motor vehicle accidents, they are often forced to undergo extensive medical treatment to tend to their injuries. In cases where young children are injured, parents are often forced out of work to provide care throughout the recovery process. When victims are injured in accidents caused by distracted or careless drivers, they should contact an Oklahoma truck accident attorney as soon as possible.
