Hydro, OK (May 9, 2019) – On May 8th, Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a three-vehicle collision on Interstate 40.
According to police, three vehicles were traveling eastbound on Interstate 40, when one of the vehicles, an SUV, was rear-ended by a drunk driver.
The impact of the collision caused the SUV to leave the roadway and crash into a ditch on the right side of the road.
The driver of the SUV was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. The passenger of the SUV, who was identified as 44-year-old Darwina Clark, was pronounced deceased at the scene of the incident. The driver of the truck that struck the rear-end of the SUV got out of his truck, for unknown reasons, when he was struck by a pickup truck in the roadway. The victim sustained serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
The driver and passenger in the third pickup truck were treated and released at the scene of the incident.
