Accident News on June 9, 2019
Jackson County, OK (June 8, 2019) – A crash, which is believed to have involved only one vehicle on Friday night, June 7th, tragically resulted in the death of a 12-year-old boy. The accident, which also left several others injured, was reported to have taken place on East 1660 Road in southwest Oklahoma at approximately 10:45 p.m.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the crash occurred about two miles south of Altus and involved five minors between the ages of 12 and 17, as well as an 18-year-old driver. Following the crash which happened for unspecified reasons, emergency medical crews and police promptly arrived at the scene.
Police stated that a 12-year-old boy was sadly pronounced deceased after being transported to Comanche County Hospital. The driver of the vehicle and a 17-year-old passenger were taken to the hospital, where they were treated and released. Furthermore, two girls, ages 12 and 13, as well as a 14-year-old boy were hospitalized in critical condition.
The cause of this accident is under investigation as no further details have been released.
