Lawton, OK (May 13, 2019) – On May 13th, Lawton Police announced that the at-fault driver for Friday’s collision will be charged for causing the incident.
Around 7:30 p.m., Lawton Police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of NW 3rd Street and NW Ferris Avenue.
According to reports, a black Dodge Ram was traveling south along NW 3rd Street when it ran a stop sign. The driver of the vehicle revved their engine and lost control of the truck, causing the vehicle to collide with a gray Hyundai Sonata, which was located in a parking lot nearby.
The impact of the collision caused the Sonata to collide with a gray Ford Expedition and a white Toyota Highlander in the same parking lot.
The driver of the Ram and the Sonata were both injured and transported to an area hospital for treatment. Police later arrested the driver of the Ram for reckless driving, driving without insurance, and driving with a revoked license.
