Accident News on May 15, 2019
Muskogee, OK (May 15, 2019)- On May 14th, Muskogee County Emergency Medical Service responded to the scene of an explosion at the Georgia-Pacific Paper Mill located at 4901 Chandler Road.
Just before 10:00 p.m., a fire began at the plant when a hydraulic line on a propane-fueled forklift broke. The rupture in the line caused fluid to spray all over, causing the flame to ignite on the propane tank.
Five workers were injured in the explosion and two firefighters suffered heat exhaustion while extinguishing the fire.
