Ottawa County, OK (May 13, 2019) – Around 12:40 a.m. on Sunday, May 12th, Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Will Rogers Turnpike, approximately 9 miles east of Miami.
According to reports, a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado and an unidentifiable vehicle collided along the roadway for unknown reasons. The impact of the collision caused the second vehicle to go up in flames, which made the model undistinguishable to law enforcement officers.
The two drivers involved in this collision, who were identified as 32-year-old Waylon Humphrey and 46-year-old Christopher Bowen, were both killed in this incident.
Our deepest condolences go out to the families of Mr. Humphreys and Mr. Bowen at this time.
