The Challenges and Costs of Raising an Autistic Child

Recent findings by researchers at Kaiser Permanente have shown that the use of antidepressants with selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) (Paxil, Zoloft, and others) by pregnant women may increase the risk of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in their children. It has become such a frequent phenomenon that many families of autistic children are now participating in Zoloft and Paxil lawsuits.
