Accident News on June 4, 2019
Yukon, OK (June 4, 2019) – Just after 9:05 a.m. on Tuesday, June 4th, Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 40.
Reports from the incident show a 2012 Nissan Altima was traveling east along I-40 when the vehicle hydroplaned into a bridge railing near Garth Brooks Boulevard, then came to rest in the center of the road.
A 2015 Ford F-250 pickup truck came over the hill and crashed into the Altima after not being able to see the vehicle. The pickup truck continued along the roadway, pushing the Altima approximately 325 feet before coming to a stop in the right lane.
The driver of the Altima, who was later identified as Kenneth E. Stoner, sustained fatal injuries in the collision. Crews worked for over two hours trying to remove the driver from his vehicle. Stoner was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Our deepest condolences go out to the family of Mr. Kenneth Stoner.
